FR-NPB-C001 is a kind of new PP flame retardant, which is environment-friendly and less plate-out. It is widely used in
flame retardant ofhigh ethylene content(≥8%) PP Copolymer. With a low volume of addition(2.0-4.0%) and excellent
performance of resisting plate-out, it is unnecessary to add antimonous oxide. Talcum powder and Barium sulfate are also
optional as additions.
I. Main Features
1. Compared to TetraBromoBisphenol A ether and Tetrabromobisphenol S Bis, FR-NPB-C001, which has less bromine, is not
required to add antimonous oxide.
2. Talcum powder, Barium sulfate and other inorganic filler(10-20%) are optional as additions.
3. After baking for 300hoursat 70-80℃, the PP flame retardant produced with FR-NPB-C001, has excellent performance of
resisting plate-out.
4. Meets the requirement of IEC60695-2-13 GWIT 775℃(3.0mm) and IEC60695-2-12 GWFI 960℃(3.0mm).
5. The PP flame retardant produced with FR-NPB-C001 can meet the requirement of RoHS and REACH.

Ⅴ. Features of flame retardant
1. Resisting plate-out: After baking for 300hoursat 70-80℃.
2. Meets the requirement of IEC60695-2-13 GWIT 775℃(3.0mm) and IEC60695-2-12 GWFI 960℃(3.0mm).
3. Changing the current situation of market that low additives flame retardant is unavailable for homopolymerize PP,
Copolymer PP and filled PP in the same time.
Ⅵ. Notes
1. Avoid calcium carbonate filler, which can interfere with the flame retarding feature.
2. Accurate temperature control is required to avoiding local overheating and causing volatilization in advance. Suggested
processing temperature: 170-170-170-170-180-180-180- 180℃
3. A little polypropylene powder is suggested as additive for uniform mixing and dispersing.
4. Assembled screw elements should use weak shear to avoiding degrading of material.
